Registry for COVID-19 Vaccine and Record Database (COVID-19)

The database retrieves the official record of the National Immunization Information System (NIIS), in which registration is mandatory for all vaccinated persons and includes patient-level records of each government-funded vaccine administered. This included COVID-19 vaccine type, vaccination dates of each dose, and demographic data (i.e., age, sex). The database also retrieved records from the National Infectious Disease Reporting System (NIDRS), which obtained information on COVID-19 infection notifications, moderate and severe illness (i.e., hospitalization), and COVID-19-related death. The database is available for direct linkage with the NHIRD to evaluate the longitudinal healthcare records of patients who received COVID-19 vaccines or experienced severe COVID-19 infections.
