Registry for Catastrophic Illness Patients (RFCIP)

Last updated : October 2024

Overview

Insured enrollees diagnosed with certain catastrophic illnesses, including malignancy, anemia, chronic kidney disease, autoimmune diseases requiring lifelong treatment, psychiatric diseases, and others, are eligible for a catastrophic illness certificate (CIC). The catastrophic illness certificate helps ensure that copayments do not prevent them from obtaining necessary medical care. The database can be directly linked with the NHIRD and provides reliable and accurate diagnoses of certain severe diseases.
