Death Registry
Overview
The Death Registry in Taiwan records mortality information, including the date of death and causes of death, using the ICD-10-CM classification. Importantly, the Death Registry can be linked to the National Health Insurance Research Database (NHIRD) and Chang Gung Research Database (CGRD) through the encrypted personal ID, allowing researchers to integrate longitudinal healthcare utilization and mortality outcomes. This linkage enables comprehensive analyses of disease trajectories, treatment effects, and long-term survival in population-based studies.
